If you are coming to this website, you’ve either made the decision to work from home or you’re at least considering it. On our journey, we found there are four key problems that people are looking for a solution to. If any of these problems resonate with you personally, you will want to become good friends with us!
Work from home and spend more time with your family
Do you want to spend more time with your family? Boy, we sure did. I spent 10 years of my life as a wedding videographer. I was either away filming a wedding or locked away in my editing studio working on my months long backlog. I missed 10 years of my son growing up. That’s time I’ll never get back. Maybe you have just had your first child (or are about to have your first child). Maybe you are spending your paycheck on daycare and you feel like your baby-sitters see your child more than you do. Maybe you have a parent that requires constant care and you’d rather have them live with you so you can be their care provider than put them in an assisted living facility.
Whatever your reason, we found that a majority of the people we would meet just weren’t spending the time with their family that they wanted. If any of these ring true for you, a work from home business opportunity is definitely something you should consider.
Work from home or work from a job
Lisa and I have been blessed with jobs that we really enjoyed doing. They were what we always wanted to do growing up and we got a lot of satisfaction from doing what we do. However, we both realized we were meant for something more. It does get frustrating when you get up at 5am for a 2 hour commute to be in the office by 8am and then spend the next 8 hours making money for other people and then, by the time you get home, you have time to eat and go to bed and start the whole day over. You can hate the job you love. You can feel trapped in a “I can’t quit — I need the money or benefits” mentality. Even if you like your job, would you enjoy living life on your own terms? Would you enjoy waking up when you want, do what you want, and go where you want, when you want? Unless you wake up every single day with a smile on your face and can sing from the hilltops about how great your job is, you should consider working from home. Stick with us and we can show you how to work your job to pay the bills but work your business to build your dreams.
I’m going on vacation!
When was the last time you said that? If you are thinking “It’s been too long” then you need to listen to what we’re saying. Vacations are a necessary part of life. They allow you to get away and recharge your batteries. They allow you to refocus your energy into what’s important and remind you what life can be. A wise man once told me, “When you leave, whatever work you don’t get done will be waiting for you when you get back.” So many people I know don’t take vacation time because they feel like when they get back, the work will be piled up waiting for them. And here’s a hint… There’s no such thing as a “staycation.” If you waste your vacation just sitting in your house, you’re really not “LIVING” and that’s what vacations are supposed to be for.
Anyway, I’ve gotten off on a tangent. The point being, if you’re ever saying to yourself “I need a vacation” then I need to introduce you to many of my friends who take 2 vacations a month. They travel to some of the most exotic places on the planet (my good friend, Jordan Adler, is actually travelling to space as soon as Virgin One has it’s maiden voyage). All of these people started exactly where you are. The difference is they made a decision that they wanted more. They decided to work from home and become entrepreneurs.
How’s your money situation?
If you’re like most people I know, you have more month than you do money. You probably have at least 1 credit card with a pretty substantial debt. You have kids who are going to go to college and you are saving to pay for it, kids who are going to college and you are currently paying for it or kids who have graduated from college and you’re trying to figure out how to pay for it. You wind up eating peanut butter and jelly because that’s all that’s in the pantry. You want the new car but you’re dealing with the bankruptcy from 3 years ago.
We all have financial problems and could use a fatter bank account. The difference is that some people accept their lot in life and keep living paycheck to paycheck and never really get out from under their mountain of bills and debt. Then there are those select few who are willing to invest less than $500 and listen to people who make more in a month than they make in a year and do exactly what they’re told and change their financial lives forever. Those are the people we want to work with. We tell people the only way you will not make money when you work from home as a professional network marketer is if you quit. So far, we’ve not been proven wrong.
Making the decision to work from home as a professional network marketer can be one of the best decisions you ever make for yourself and your family. We’re not perfect. It takes hard work (and lots of it) and time. However, if you listen to your mentors, invest the time and invest the energy, it is absolutely one of the best ways to being living and stop just existing.
